I hooked up my engine saturday and tried to give it a start. I got some pops and a little smoke but never got it take off. When it first started cranking it I got the distinct smell of rotten gas. I had drained the rx-7 tank and refilled prior to trying to start the engine so I expect it was old fuel in the injectors and fuel rail. The engine had been sitting for a couple years so I am beginning to wonder if the old gas may have cloged the injectors.
